About $4.69 of every cable bill goes to ESPN!

ESPN shells out big bucks to be number one in sports television. At any given game they televise, they have up to 270 ESPN staff members there and 35 camera angles. This means that their expenses must be pretty high. Are they high enough to justify such a steep cost?

They recently re-upped their contract with the NFL paying them $1.9 billion per season through 2021! Monday night football dominates the cable ratings and on a given Monday night 16.7 million viewers tune in. They are in more than 100 million homes in America to date. Talk about a lucrative and serious business.
