A little girl’s life was saved by her Green Day T-shirt.

12-year-old Ruby Wilson of Halifax, England may not be the most likely Green Day fan out there, but it’s a good thing she knows about them! In 2006, Ruby was tending her family’s garden in their backyard when she happened upon an unlikely object - a hand grenade! Luckily, the young girl recognized the explosive from an a T-shirt she owns that features the artwork from the group’s 2004 album, “American Idiot.” Ruby is clearly neither American nor an idiot, as she immediately alerted her father, who called in a bomb squad to properly dispose of the explosive device.
