There's a classic bluegrass song called Mountain Dew. You might wonder why Mountain Dew doesn't use it. It might partly be because the mountain dew that the song talks about is moonshine, which is another name for bootlegged liquor.
In fact, Mountain Dew has history with alcohol. The company doesn't shy away from it's history acknowledges that the drink was originally conceived to be added to whiskey. Does this make you look at the soda differently?
