Do you love the McRib? You'll have to wait longer this year.

Sad news, McRib fans. The yearly sandwich that receives plenty of promotion at around the end of October will come late in 2012. The reason for this? McDonald's wants to save it for the end of the year.

If you live in the US, you'll remember that last winter was pretty mild all around the country. This meant that people were out and about more, and they were eating a lot of McDonald's.

It seem like the house that Ronald built is expecting this winter to be much worse. According to their ad agency, McDonald's wants to avoid having a large December-to-December drop, so they're saving the McRib in hopes that it will spur large sales in December.
