Clear Channel owns more than 1,200 radio stations. After the 9/11 attack they compiled a list of songs with “questionable lyrics.” Their list contained 165 songs. Some songs included in the do not play list were “Imagine” and “Knockin on Heaven’s Door.” The list did not ban radios from playing the songs, but suggested that they not.
