In 2007, Annamarie Ausnes, a regular customer of a Starbucks in Tacoma, WA, discovered that she had polycystic kidney disease and needed a transplant. The barista at the Starbucks that she frequented, Sandie Andersen, found out that she was the right blood type to donate a kidney. Talk about going above and beyond for your customers!
